IRWINDALE,
Calif. — Sean Woodside survived a green-white-checkered finish to
lead all 51 laps of Saturday night’s NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series late-model feature at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.
Woodside, the 1999 NASCAR K&N Pro
Series West champion, started his Chevrolet from the pole and was
strong throughout the event, which saw five yellow flags for 23
laps on the half-mile oval.
Former Toyota Speedway track
champion Nick Joanides challenged Woodside during the final
two-lap shootout, but finished second. Brandon Davis, Travis
Irving and Matthew Hicks rounded out the top five in the 25-car
